Traveling is one of my biggest passions in life. In particular, I love traveling to different cities and experiencing the unique characteristics of each of those cities. This is why for accommodations I love using Airbnb instead of book a hotel!
Unlike staying in a hotel, Airbnb allows you to stay in an extra bedroom someone has in their house or you can rent an entire space, whether it’s an apartment or house, which is what I normally do!
I prefer this over a hotel because it allows me to feel more immersed in the area I’m visiting whereas hotels seem to be pretty much the same each time I stay in them. Also, it tends to be quite a bit cheaper which is always a big plus when it comes to traveling on a budget!
The more money I save the more I can travel!
When it comes to flying though, I pretty much stick with Delta because I love their SkyMiles program and try to earn free flights as much as I can by paying for all of my monthly bills using a credit card that gives me free miles! (If you do this, just make sure you pay off the balance before any interest accrues else you’ll be losing out on any benefits.)
Needless to say, I was pretty excited to hear that you can now earn SkyMiles from Delta when booking accommodations on Airbnb.
To do this, you must first create an Airbnb account if you don’t already have one. Once you’ve created an Airbnb account, instead of booking your stay through the normal website, simply visit Delta’s Airbnb website and book through there using your SkyMiles account!
It doesn’t cost anything extra to book through Delta’s site and you’ll earn one mile per every one dollar spent on all Airbnb reservations.
I’m always looking for ways to increase my SkyMiles earnings without actually having to spend more money, so when they release a way to earn SkyMiles through a product or service I’m already using anyways, I get pretty excited!
So if you currently use Airbnb and are a SkyMiles member it just makes sense to book through Delta’s SkyMile program and earn miles for your Airbnb reservations.
I hope this tip helps you earn more free travel! Thanks for reading!
